Tips and Tricks

The basic instructons for making soap are quite simple. Mix a few oils, dump in a mixture of water and lye, stir until it looks like pudding then dump into a mold and walk away for a few hours. However, as is said in the theme song for Star Trek Enterprise, it's a long journey from there to here. Or a lot of speed bumps in the road. Little things that a new soaper isn't going to have any idea how to deal with. Thus the birth of this page on tips and tricks. I will be collecting ideas and suggestions from new and experienced soapers alike on how to handle any and all aspects of the soap making process. If you have something to suggest, please feel free to Contact The Happy Soaper.
